We took time out to salute our clients, staff and a few soon-to-be-clients during our Second Annual Wright Appreciation Weekend. We brought everyone to Denver for a Rockies Baseball game…cocktail reception, hotel stays and a Mile High relaxing time.

"Duh, winning!"

Unless you've been living under a rock (AKA Geico commercials) for the last month, you've been subjected to that catch phrase exactly, by my count, one time short of infinity.

Admit it, we all love someone spiraling out of control.

If we didn't, the Jersey Shore's cast of train wrecks wouldn't all be millionaires for their 15 minutes of fame (well, it' actually going on 18 months of fame now, and we only have ourselves to blame).

Please join us at these valuable workshops to gain insight into marketing non-gaming enterprises and how to make your media placement as effective as possible. if you're not attending NIGA, please contact us and we'll be gad to share this insight with you at your convenience. Just call 303.393.4530 or email Jack at Jackb@WrightCasinoMarketing.com. To keep up to date with all our upcoming events, you can also follow us on Facebook!

It's a New Year, and as in years past many of us make resolutions to change something. They run the gamut, from weight loss to working out and even cleaning out the garage.

Normally people focus on something they want to improve or fix. We’ve all heard the old adage “if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.” The same applies to the casino business: You look around, see what isn’t working, and make sure you really get to it this year. The marketing plan needs to be dusted off and updated, you’d really like to review and improve your online presence, and the coffee maker in the office really needs a tune-up and a better brand of coffee.

We tend to overlook the areas that aren’t in crisis. If you haven’t taken a serious look at your media lately, its time to make a resolution to review your media spend!
I know what you’re thinking: My media is working perfectly, my agency is perfect, and I see no reason to change it.

Think again.

A $350 value! You will learn about: How the industry is faring, and what markets are emerging in a challenging economy, how casinos are flocking to Facebook, what's new and next in online gaming, what's working in promotions, what's cooking with the latest and most effective F&B tactics, the newest trends in entertainment, and much more! There's still time to gain powerful insight and learn how to benefit from recent trends with your exclusive copy of Wright Casino Marketing's Gaming Trends '10! I’m sure when Charles Caleb Colton (1780 – 1832) coined the phrase, he didn’t have iTune bootleggers or former House of Representative plagiarizers in mind.

Did he?

But, if you’re a casino marketer, trying to develop that new casino promotion, I don’t think Chuck is too terribly worried if you borrow an idea or three from someone else. In fact, if you do, you’re more the majority than the minority.

Oh, for the days when email delivery was a matter of counting bounces and adjusting content to avoid being mis-identified as spam! Today's email marketer needs to worry about such diverse topics as "Inbox Placement," "Engagement," and now... "What Inbox Was I Placed In?"

Three of the largest email providers, Microsoft Live Hotmail, Yahoo and Google's Gmail, are deciding which email is most important to you, the recipient.

Check out the fun we had at the First Annual Wright Appreciation Weekend in Denver:

I'm happy to report that we're hiring! Know any good web developers or web designers?

We need to fill out the design and technical abilities of the Integrated Marketing department, so we're looking for both a PHP/MySQL/Javascript developer, and a web designer with strong technical skills. (Ideally, we'd like to get a designer with some development abilities, or a developer with a solid design sense, but they're hard to find).

We had a great time at NIGA this year, and were pleased to see the great turnout to our social media seminar. Fortunately, we had such great participation and dialog throughout the seminar that we weren't able to finish our formal presentation. So if you'd like to catch up on the rest, or if you missed the original, You can watch the presentation here.
